Coral Football Club 3

Sunday’s game was sponsored by “Lotto hot picks”

Sunday saw the visit of Newham United to Spring farm.

Newham have only been beaten once this season, so this was always going to be hard match for Coral
Who were is good form after beating top of the table Eyehurst in their previous league game.

The ref Sean (I could have been a millionaire) Russell delayed the game by 15 minutes due to the hard ground.
You could see Newham didn’t want the game to go ahead and this gave Coral the advantaged.
Mr Clark made 2 changes with the Silver fox coming in for Scot and Joe (I love my sleep) coming in for Warren (if I only
I could shoot) and the formation was 3-5-2.

The game started brightly for Coral, creating a few good chances up front and getting on top in the midfield.
Newham looked sharp up front but their temperament was letting them down in midfield (they moaned more than
Matt) which played into Corals hands.
And for once Coral didn’t get involved and let the football do the talking. (Buddha’s not good enough to be on the pitch)
Then with 28 minutes on the clock, Mat turned on the edge of the box and curled the ball with his left foot in to the
Corner to make it 1-0. This spurned Newham on and minutes later their centre forward rose in the box and headed against
The bar. Then with 4 minutes left to half time Newham broke and Rocky gave away a foul in the box and (I could have been a
Millionaire) had no chose than point to the spot. 1-1 at half time and Coral were unlucky that they weren’t leading.

Newham made a change upfront for the second half with Ruel fox coming on and boy he was quick.
Newham came out of the box much quicker than Coral and had most of the possession for the first 20 minutes and made Lee
Hucker pull off some very good saves. Mr Clark then changed the formation to 4-4-2 with Joe (I love my sleep) coming off for
Peter (Alright Barrymore). This helped Coral to start winning back the ball and gain some possession and Lee (Hot and Sour soup)
Made a great challenge in the box to keep the score at 1-1.
Then with 25 minutes left on the clock and against the run of play Dan scored with a close range finish.
This galvanised Coral and Tony (I could have won £6500) went on a run and collided with the Newham goal keeper.
Both players were injured and had to be subbed, all be it Tony (I could have won £6500) played on for a few minutes only to be
Changed with Alex (there’ something about Mary, Meet the parents, Zoolander, Dogeball…) The Northern Monkey also came on for Paul and
Didn’t kick anyone.
Then with only 4 minutes left on the clock Coral had a free kick just out side the Newham box.
Matt (self acclaimed free kick specialist) looked up and picked Man of the match Dan (Maaaaaaaaaaaaaar can I nick a fag) who flicked the ball in
the back of the net to make it 3-1 and give Coral the 3 points.
The game was over and Coral just deserved the 3 points and Sean (I could have been a millionaire) also had a good game and kept order.

Mr Clark was happy and let’s take this good form into the next game.
This was a great squad effort and well done lads
